Momocco Family Introduction

“Momocco” is the mascot character for the “Let's Walk Satoyama: Kibiji Region Explorations”.
Momocco is a character inspired by the folktale of Momotaro, a legendary hero of the Kibiji region, and the famous local specialty of peaches around Bitchu Kokubunji Temple. The “Momocco Family” is dressed in the Japan national football team's Japan Blue uniforms.

She has a mischievous personality and is full of energy and initiative.

He has a cautious personality and possesses the skill of flying in the sky.

Urara

He may look intimidating, but he has a shy personality and is strong.

Mommoco Family will work together, with Momocco at the center, to solve the problem.


Kibituhiko-no-mikoto and Momotaro

It is said that the legend of "Momotaro," originates from the story of "Kibitsuhiko-no-Mikoto's Ura Demon Slaying" as described in the Kibitsu- Jinja Shrine Records.

The legend of Momotaro is famous in the Okayama prefecture's Kibi region, but it also exists in Onimuko-cho in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture and Inuyama City in Aichi Prefecture.
The Japanese folktales such as "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" and "Urashima Taro" are full of fantasy.
